This Date in History: Danish Cartoons of Muhammad

September 17, 2005: According to the Danish newspaper Politiken, fear of violent reprisals from Muslims has prevented a writer finding an artist for his book about Muhammad because of fear of reprisals. Jyllands-Posten sees this as censorship and issues a call for drawings of Muhammad for publication in their own newspaper.
