A forum member writes: I think K-12 teachers should not be given the whole of the summer break off. During at least a month or more of that time, I propose that teachers themselves go to training school. They could take refresher courses in the disciplines they teach, or courses which would broaden their knowledge. They could be evaluated.
Specifically: In a world where knowledge of science grows everyday, it only makes sense to update science teachers. In a cultural environment where a basic scientific theory, namely the Theory of Evolution, is not being taught well, teachers could take training classes which stress the need to teach this science thoroughly.
