Rene Descartes Rene Descartes was a French philosopher who is widely regarded as the 'founder' of the modern age of philosophy because he challenged and questioned all of the traditional systems of thinking, most of which were founded upon Aristotle’s ideas. As a musician and former Music/Philosophy Major [back in the dark ages...OK...late 1950s-'60s]…I ‘improvised’ my own take-off variation on good ole Descarte’s famous line…

Descartes was a Roman Catholic. It seems like you should mention this, especially here in the Atheism section.
