Access Montgomery reports that the original idea for hanging illegal aliens comes from candidate Harry Lyon:
[Harry] Lyon said if elected, he would sponsor a law to get all illegal immigrants out of the state within 90 days, or be hanged in public. “It would only take five or 10 getting killed and broadcast on CNN for it to send a clear message to not set foot in Alabama,” said Lyon, a Pelham lawyer. “Anybody that breaks into my home is a threat to my life. I remember the Alamo.”
Maybe Harry Lyon should remember the law and the Constitution, neither of which authorizes public executions for illegally entering the United States.
Darby ... said he would support Lyon in his election bid. “If he’s willing to have public hangings of Mexicans, that sounds like he’s the right man for the job,” Darby said.
Notice that he says Mexicans, not simply “illegal aliens.”
Darby said if elected he would ask the governor to institute martial law to stop the influx of illegal immigrants into Alabama. If illegal immigrants attempt to evade law enforcement, they “should be shot on sight,” he said.
What should be the penalty for self-righteous politicians who try to evade the principles of civil liberties?
He said the number of Jews killed in World War II has been grossly exaggerated, and Jews must leave if the United States is to save itself. “It would be good for Iran to blow Israel off the map,” he said.
It’s amazing how often Holocaust Deniers will say “Hitler never killed those millions of Jews” and then add “but he should have.” Darby’s comment here isn’t very far off from that, in my opinion, and is an accurate reflection of the morality, rationality, and perspective of a White Supremacist. Mobile County District Attorney John Tyson Jr., Darby’s opponent in the primary race, says that Darby isn’t connected to reality and that he’s juts a crackpot looking for publicity. It’s hard to argue with that.

I for one DO NOT CONDONE SHOOTING ILLEGAL ALIENS. Outrageous to say the least. On the other hand, illegal immigration is a serious problem and most of the American people are opposed to it. Sealing our borders and strictly enforcing the immigration laws in effect are the steps that must be taken to safeguard the safety of our people in this dangerous age of terrorism we live in.
Given that terrorists enter America as legal visitors, not illegal immigrants, it’s difficult to see how the two can be connected in any way other than as a matter of fear mongering.

A “moot point” is a “doubtful question” that is likely no longer relevant, but your claims and their flaws are still very relevant. So it’s not a “moot point” at all, but you don’t seem willing or able to defend the claims you have made. Could it be that you recognize they are indefensible? Illegal immigrants have decimated my quality of life. I have to 1) deal with people eveyr day in my communityi that do not speak English the native language; 2) they use the soccer field behind my house and have deciminated teh field and have kept children from using the field as they used to. 3) IU have to pay for their hspital bills and paving of the highways that are in horrible shape 4) I have to sit in traffic twice as long as I did 5 years ago due to their numbers. and last but not least 5) they do not pay taxes to pay for any of it. 6) they take jobs away from people like me that have lived here for 50 years.
