A forum member writes: Evidently, a growing number of pharmacists have a 'problem' with prescribing certain prescriptions, and don't. Mainly birth control pills and the morning after pills. And in some states, the law protects their jobs even though their jobs are specifically to "fill prescriptions"! Don't they know this when they enter pharmacology school?
Should pharmacists really be allowed to neglect their professional duty to dispense medication to patients whenever they have a personal, even religious, objection to that medication and what it might do?
