I wanted to express my concern over the fact that the atheism news letter seems to be turning into the gay newsletter. I am not necessarily against gays living the lifestyle they want but my interest is in God exists or not, the dangers of religious power and so forth. I don't mind those stories that directly relate to gay rights vs religion but just gay rights for that sake should be kept to those pages that deal with it.

I received this particular message a couple of years ago; if the author is still visiting the site, he must have been incredibly annoyed at the series of articles I did about legalizing gay marriage. I report on issues relating to homosexuality and gay-rights because the religious right in America and other countries oppose both so vehemently. My articles on the legalization of gay marriage specifically critique the major arguments used by the Religious Right in their efforts to prevent gay marriage.

Sometimes reporting on current events will mean more stories relating to homosexuality, sometimes that will mean less. Sometimes what will mean more stories relating to other issues like abortion, sometimes less. I don't control the news, I just pass it along to others.

I don't expect everyone to be interested in every story, but I do know that most people are interested in most stories - that includes the ones relating to abortion or homosexuality, because most atheists oppose the Religious Right.
