This Date in History: Martin Luther's Ninety-five Theses

Monday October 31, 2005
Martin Luther October 31, 1517: Martin Luther posted his Ninety-five Theses on the door of the church in Wittenberg Germany. This marked the beginning of the Protestant Reformation and, hence, Protestants celebrate this as Reformation Day (usually, though, it is actually celebrated on the nearest Sunday).
