A forum member writes: I don't watch much TV, except the occasional DVD, but the computer is in the same room as the TV and the kids often watch cartoons. Most are pretty good - the standard is very high IMO. But tonight, for the first time, the kids kept it on Fox after the Simpsons finished. I cannot believe how bad this channel is! Maybe I'm the last person to notice, but Fox is really, REALLY bad. I am just stunned. The constant noise, the flashing colors, being bombarded by mental diarrhea every second. It is impossible to think. I can feel my brain cells dying. In comparison, the cartoons are not just good, they are sublime, they are beautiful. But this? Is this modern culture? Do people really watch this? Have I led such a sheltered life? Am I just a snob? I am in shock.

I rarely watch any broadcast television and I certainly stay away from FOX - most of its "entertainment" can be as bad as its "news." It's interesting, though, to see the perspective of someone completely new to FOX and thus not desensitized to it. Read More...
