The history of relations between Christianity and Judaism is one filled with suspicion, discrimination, and violence. The Holocaust which killed millions of Jews is part of the legacy of that relationship and, in light of so much violence, it is important for Christian theologians to better explain how Christians should approach Judaism. Should Christians treat Judaism as an inferior and superseded religion or as an equally valid faith? Are the New and Old Testaments a united whole or not?
