Proctor and Gamble Boycott Proceeding
Baptist Press reports:
The boycott is based on Procter & Gamble's support of a ballot measure in Cincinnati to repeal a 1993 city charter amendment prohibiting homosexual rights laws. A Procter & Gamble executive was granted leave to run the campaign and the company donated $40,000 to the effort, according to the Associated Press. The ballot measure passed with 54 percent of the votes Nov. 2, clearing the way for Cincinnati officials to pass a law protecting homosexuals from discrimination.
And it's just horrible that gays might be protected from discrimination, so P&G will have to suffer for their actions in support of this.
"The issue was about a major American corporation who serves millions and millions of families with their products becoming involved in a political and social agenda outside of their company," Sharp told Baptist Press. "Not only did they support the repeal of Article 12, but we have found numerous instances in which they have supported gay pride parades, they have placed ads in homosexual magazines, they support conferences across America which are designed to promote the homosexual agenda. And when you couple all of those things together, I don't think there's any question that Procter & Gamble is one of the nation's leading companies in supporting the idea behind same-sex 'marriage,'" he said.
Let's be clear: people like this don't mind when companies get involved with social or political issues when they do so on the side of the Christian Right — it's only when a company successfully supports the causes of liberty and justice that these people get annoyed.
Richard Land, president of the Southern Baptist Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, said, “Procter & Gamble’s blatant support of homosexual-friendly corporate policies and community statutes places them on the list of companies that must concern American families."
Because, as you know, there are no homosexuals in any American families. Nor are there any American families made up of homosexuals. Anything that brings liberty and justice to gays necessarily harms American families. I don't know how, but Richard Land must know.
Focus on the Family and AFA first called for the boycott in mid-September, and Sharp said it needs to last indefinitely.
Right, much like the boycott of Disney. We all know how successful that has been, right?

Comments
I previously worked for approximately 2 months at Proctor and Gamble. I openly applaud that they accept Homosexuals in their workplace, however I would also like to add they are not the most accepting company to work for. After having worked their and received praise I had revealed to a nurse at P&G that I had a mental illness. After having revealed this a week later I was fired. A pen was found on my desk of the mood stabilizer I was taking at the time, on the day I was fired. Coincidence? I think not. P&G is long from being an accepting company.
you guys are naive morons
