Discussion: Shameless Republicans

A forum member writes: I just participated in the most inflammatory telephone poll I could possibly even imagine. Questions included:

"Do you think homosexuals should have special rights to destroy the sanctity of marriage between one man and one woman?"

"Do you want to pay more taxes and get nothing in return for them?"

"Do you think that loose women should be allowed to murder the innocent babies in their wombs?"

"Do you want the United States to be completely defenseless against terrorism?" "Do you want the bible and Christianity to be outlawed?"

Un-freaking-believable. I already knew that neocons were shameless, opportunistic liars, thieves and murderers... but somehow they continue to astound me with just HOW low they're willing to sink to gain and maintain power.

My prediction: Bush will win this election, causing the US to crumble due to financial and ethical bankruptcy.

Tactics like this are not the least bit unusual among Republicans and they have only increased under the leadership of Bush and his Texans. The absence of basic ethics is even admitted by their own. One in the forum writes "The neocons are about one thing: divide and conquer-a political philosophy predating Tamerlane and refined by Machiavelli."
