Pleasure and Human Sexuality

Natural Atheism Recently Received: With Pleasure: Thoughts on the Nature of Human Sexuality, by Paul R. Pinkerton and Steven D. Abramson.

Most people tend to assume that sexuality and sexual behavior exist for the purpose of procreation and that the pleasure derived from them is at most a secondary benefit — something that occurs in order to ensure that we have sex at all. What if this weren’t true? What if pleasure were itself the purpose of sexuality?
