Discussion: Is Iraq a Libertarian Paradise?

A forum member writes: Everyone in Iraq (apart from, it seems, the police) has a gun, so therefore by Official Gun Lobby Logic there should be no crime. There's not much in the way of taxes or public ownership either, so obviously they should all be rich soon as well. Anything you see or hear otherwise is, of course, the result of the liberal media.

Iraq definitely has a "minimalist" government right now. No one is collecting outrageous taxes for the sake of public schools, national health care, environmental regulations, etc. Throw in all of the oil wealth under the surface and you have what should qualify as a libertarian paradise.
