Critiquing "The Passion"

Doug writes: Gibson's inclusion of extra-biblical material, his reordering of the timeline given in the Gospels and his emphasis on the physical violence, really his exaggeration of that violence, calls into question whether he ever intended to make this film an accurate portrayal of the crucifixion.  These writers both sense an overt attempt to demonize the Jews in the film.  I would hope that Christians would be open to discussing both the material Mel has chosen to put into this film and what he chooses to emphasize.
