Although apologists will often argue that Islam is very supportive of women's rights, such claims seem very hollow in the face of Muslim really actually experience in their lives. It seems that what Islam needs are Muslims who love Islam, but who also love the principles of justice and human rights enough to call Islam to account when their religion fails to live up to its own standards.
